Reading Center:

Job 1: Find a "Bubble Spot" and read 2-3 of your favorite apple books from the "Apple Basket" with your buddy.

Job 2: Have your buddy make a predicition about what will happen at the end of one of your favorite stories.

Job 3: Draw and label a picture of the setting and character in the book Johnny Appleseed by Jane Kurtz in your journal.


Art Center:

Job 1: Draw a picture of an apple tree throughout the four seasons. Include a background and use at least 3 colors.

Math Center:

Job 1: Create your own story problem about apples in your Math Journal. Next, illustrate your problem and have your buddy try to solve it.


You'll know you are an expert when you can answer the following questions:

1.What is an apple?

2.How does an apple grow?

3.How does an appple tree change over the seasons?

4.Where are apples grown?

5.Describe an apple from the inside.

When you are an expert, you and your buddy are ready to share what you've learned by doing one of the following:

Option 1: Create a poster with at least 4 colors, at least 4 details, and 2-3 sentences describing what you've learned.

Option 2: Share your journal writing with another friend and their buddy.

Option 3: Act out with your buddy, your favorite fact about Johnny Appleseed.
